Charles competed in the origional 1990 NWC event at the St. Paul, Minnesota round. He made the local semi-finals before a nasty Rad Racer incident ended his hopes at making the nationals held at Universal Studios Flordia later that year. Charles won a Game Boy and NWC clothing for his efforts.

Charles rediscovered his mojo in an unscored demo run later in the day and scored 423,940 which would have put him in third at our event. That score did count toward the October 2010 monthly "drop-in anytime" competition.
